    Braintree District Council is hosting an enrichment day aimed at providing a development opportunity to apprentices from across Essex.

    The day will be interactive with 4 different hour long in-depth informative session with the chance for Q&A, designed to enrich apprentices and to give them the opportunity to network with other young people as well as learn from a variety of workshops and a guest speaker. Each workshop will be with a professional speakers who's aim is to educate apprentice’s on these everyday subjects.

    This event has been specifically designed for apprentices.

    Guest speaker Lewis Hatchett has had a career as professional cricketer for Sussex CCC. However, his story is a little different from the other 400 or so pro cricketers on the county circuit. Lewis was born with Poland Syndrome, a condition that affects 1 in 100,000 and in Lewis’ case means that he is missing his entire right pectoral muscle as well as two ribs. Through sheer determination to pursue a lifelong dream, Lewis will share his fascinating story and beliefs on how he has managed to get to the top of his sport despite his physical disability.

    • The dress code for this event is smart Casual, Black Jeans are acceptable.
    • Please note this event is also open to anybody who has finished an apprenticeship within the past 12 months.
