Braintree District Council launches a new innovative initiative aimed at supporting sole traders, freelancers and independent professionals.

The scheme offers sole traders free access to a fully equipped co-working space enabling them to work collaboratively as well as network and thrive in a vibrant community.

The aim is to drive entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, productivity and economic growth in local communities.

The spaces must be taken-up at The Plaza Enterprise and Innovation Centre in Great Notley.

The workspaces come with free high-speed internet, parking and bookable meeting rooms and conference spaces. There is also a reception area and cafe.

Cllr Frankie Ricci, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Inward Investment at Braintree District Council, said: “We encourage sole traders to take advantage of this government funded opportunity and leverage the benefits of working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. It means that sole traders can focus on their work and connect with like-minded individuals without financial risk and burden. This will not only foster growth and creativity, but will also boost innovation.”
