SEVEN RURAL BUS SERVICES IN THE BRAINTREE DISTRICT

Week commencing 19 April 2010 Braintree residents will benefit from the introduction of seven new bus services in the district, which will provide a convenient, personal service for passengers.

Each service is fully accessible and has timed stops in the villages and in the destination town but can be adapted to meet the needs of the passenger.  As long as it is safe to do so, the bus will stop along the route within the village when hailed.  The driver will also be available to help with boarding or leaving the vehicle, or with shopping bags.  You do not need to book but if you are a wheelchair user it is recommended that you telephone us on 01376 327357 in advance of your journey.   

Cost

<>   Any person wishing to travel will be able to pay for their fare on the bus. 

<>   The cost of the journey will be £2:00 flat fare (single or return). 

<>   Children aged 5 to 16 travel half price.

<>   Children under 5 travel for free.

<>   If you hold a concessionary bus pass you will need to show your pass to receive free transport.
