If you would like to discuss an inquiry or proposal there are two systems:-

Duty Planner - to discuss general planning matters, advise whether planning permission is required for a proposal and guide you through the planning application process.

Held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:30am and 1pm at Causeway House in Braintree, on a drop-in, first come first served basis. Alternatively phone 01376 552525 during these hours to talk to the Duty Planner.

Area Planning Surgery – to discuss proposals for site specific development. Photographs, location plan, block plan, elevation plans or sketches are required. 

Held on Thursdays between 9am and 1pm (9.30am for Braintree Surgery.) Surgeries are held at Causeway House, Braintree, 8-10 the Centre, Halstead and The Library, Newland Street, Witham.

NB: Due to staff shortages we will be unable to offer our weekly planning surgery in Witham Library until the end of September.
