The health and well being of residents is one of the Council’s
key priorities. Our surveys have shown that improved leisure,
recreation and sports facilities, access to health services, better
parks and open spaces and activities for teenagers are all top
priorities in what makes somewhere nice to live. They also
contribute to how people live their lives and what they do for
enjoyment and accordingly how healthy their lifestyles are.
To ensure residents continue to have plenty of opportunities to
participate in sports and leisure activities the Council has
continued to invest in the facilities throughout the District.
Currently we have two leisure projects underway -
· To build a new
leisure centre in Witham to replace the aging Bramston Sports
Centre
· To competitively
tender for a new contract to manage all the leisure facilities in
the District.
