How can we achieve our cultural vision for the
District?
We would like information on what you do in your spare time in
the District and what you would like to see available in the
future. The information and comments will help us to produce a
useful and constructive Cultural Strategy and action plan based on
the following draft vision:
To identify, enable, support and promote the aspirations of
our community in diverse cultural activity throughout Braintree
District, including the Braintree District Cultural Celebrations
2008 – 2012, in partnership with voluntary and professional groups
and organisations.
The Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) sets strategies which the
local partners (local authority, police, health authority and
others) use to decide what they will do in providing services for
the community. More information about the LSP is available from
www.braintreedistrictlsp.org.uk.
The LSP is made up of six partnership boards, each of which has
its own responsibilities. The Cultural Partnership Board is
responsible for enabling the provision of activities under the
general heading of Culture. Whilst sport is dealt with by another
group, almost any other activity which people participate in
outside employment may be classified as “Cultural.”
