Visiting Braintree District Museum

Opening Times: Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

Admission: Adults £3.00; Concessions (including people with disabilities): £1.50; Children free when accompanied by a paying adult. Admission allows free re-entry within a month on production of a receipt.

Annual Museum Ticket: £12 per family (up to two adults and 4 children), with free repeat visits for a year from issue.

Visitors acting as carers for people with disabilities may enter the Museum free of charge.

Parking: The Museum is adjacent to two car parks, and within a few minutes walk from George Yard multi-storey car park.

Coach parties can be dropped off in the coach bay on the south side of Manor Street, but coaches cannot remain parked here. There is space available for coach parking at Crittall Drive; click here for a coach parking map.

Public Transport: Trains run hourly from London Liverpool Street to Braintree Station (a five minute walk from the Museum). Freeport Designer Outlet Village is five minutes away by free shuttle bus (stops close to the Museum), or two minutes away by train.

Disabled Access: All facilities and galleries, with the exception of the Mezzanine, are accessible to wheelchair users.
