The Research and Development Team is part of the Strategic Housing service.  The team have a number of roles within the service which include: 

-Researching and identifying local housing needs.

-Developing policies and guidance for the provision of housing within the District.

-Enabling the development of new affordable homes across the District.

-Returning empty properties back into use.

-Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the housing service.

We are committed to providing affordable housing to meet the needs of local people and to creating sustainable communities.  Monitoring and using data and information across all aspects of housing is integral to helping us to develop effective policies and strategies to deliver our aims.
