The first Strategic Housing Market Assessment for the district was
commissioned in 2007 by the Housing Market Partnership; Braintree
District Council, Chelmsford Borough Council and Colchester Borough
Council.
The first SHMA report was published in April 2008 and since then
the Housing Market Partnership have worked alongside eachother to
carry out annual updates covering the following areas:
-Housing needs;
-Market Activity;
-Affordability; and
-Migration
In 2010 Maldon District Council joined the Housing Market
Partnership.
