The Research and Development Team is part of the Strategic Housing service.  The principle roles of the team are diverse and  include;

-Researching and identifying local housing needs.

-Developing policies and guidance for the provision of housing within the District.

-Enabling the development of new affordable homes across the District.

-Returning empty properties back into use.

-Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the housing service.

We are committed to providing affordable housing to meet the needs of local people and to create sustainable communities.  Monitoring data regarding all aspects of housing is integral to helping us to develop the correct policies and guidance and to deliver our aims.
