Two 3 bedroom properties in Old Road, Coggeshall for social rent
were provided through partnership working with CHP, Flagship
Housing Group, Higgins Homes, Bailey Garner and were
officially unveiled by Councillor Lady Newton in October
2010.
Counillor Lady Newton commented on the quality of the new homes
saying "these homes, which are part of a very attractive
development are available at affordable rents and are built to a
high standard."
'Eco' Extra Care Scheme, Helen Court,
Witham
Braintree District Council has worked in partnership with
specialist housing association Hanover Housing to provide an extra
care scheme comprising of 55 one and two bedroom apartments
that will be available for rent by older people with care needs in
both Braintree and Maldon districts.

Summary of development in 2009/2010
During
the year 2009/2010 171 affordable homes were delivered across
the district. This included provision of new homes in the
small rural villages of Pebmarsh and
Gestinghtorpe.
