The Green Heart campaign embraces the work that we do to look after and make the best of the district’s parks and open spaces. We’ll be working hard to continue to keep the parks and open spaces that we manage neat and tidy; the trees and plants healthy and wildlife habitats protected.

See below a list of various parks and open spaces in the Braintree District

Fun for kids

Over the last few years we’ve been busy updating and revamping children’s playgrounds around the district.  At each location we consulted with local families to find out what equipment was most needed in the area – to make sure local children were able to make the most of the new features we introduced.

We currently manage 52 playgrounds, enjoyed by children aged from four to twelve years, with teenage equipment on several sites. We aim to ensure our playgrounds are safe and provide challenging and stimulating opportunities for play.
