Meet the Clean Team – working longer to keep the district clean *

The aim of the Green Heart of Essex is to be the cleanest district in England.

We have a Green Heart clean team who carry out our scheduled programme of cleaning alongside a rapid response team who will deal quickly with reports of any problems.

Meet the Green Heart Clean team – these are the people who clean up  around the district, empty the dog and litter bins and  generally do their best to keep the district in good condition.

The are now working longer hours into the evening and at weekends to make sure that they are there cleaning up when littering increases.

Their hours are

heart216  7 am to 8pm weekdays

heart216  7am to 5pm Saturdays

heart216  7am to 1pm Sundays

Rapid response to your reports

Meet the rapid response team who will clear up the problems that you have told us about quickly and efficiently.  They also empty the litter bins and dog bins around the district and wash areas of the town centres which get particularly disgusting at the weekends after Friday and Saturday nights

They are also trained to investigate fly-tips for evidence of the offenders.

Town Centre Clean Team

In Braintree, Witham and Halstead you will get used to the sight of the town centre clean team.  Each individual  has specific responsibility for cleaning and litter picking streets, footpaths, alleyways, parks and car-parks as well as emptying litter bins and dog bins in the towns.

The team is also trained to monitor and investigate reports of littering dog-fouling and fly-posting.
