From planting community orchards to creating outdoor classrooms - the Local Committee's are delighted to announce the winners of the 'Green Heart Local Awards', giving 19 local projects the money to turn their 'Green Heart' inspired ideas into reality.

The winners of the awards, selected from 24 entries, were those where the judges felt would best deliver the aims of the Green Heart of Essex campaign: to improve the appearance of the local area, involve local people and encourage pride in local areas.
