Braintree Market
Held on a Wednesday and
also on a Saturday in Bank Street, High Street, New Street, Great
Square and Market Place.
Witham Market
Held on Saturday in Lockrams
Lane, adjacent to the Newlands Shopping Precinct.
Charity and Community Stalls - Charitable and/or
Community groups may have a stall on Braintree and Witham market to
promote their cause and perhaps to fundraise. A small nominal
fee will be charged where items are being sold.
Market Cleaning - The Council is responsible
for keeping the local market grounds clean and free from
litter. When the markets close at 5.30pm we carry out a
market cleaning programme of mechanical sweeping. If you wish
to report a problem with cleanliness on one of our market grounds,
please call our Customer Service Centre on 01376 552525 or
