Paul Richards *

[Full Time]

Area: Three Fields and Great Notley

Having spent 30 years in the Ambulance Service, Paul feels well equipped to deal with anything that comes his way as a Warden.

"I like trying to make a difference in communities. People know there is always someone around to contact if they have a problem or want some advice."

He certainly made a difference to an 18-month-old little girl he and a PCSO found wandering the streets by herself.

"I was driving along when I spotted a little girl on her own. One woman told us she thought she lived in a certain road so we knocked on every door until we found her mother and reunited them."

Paul is very keen to create a "community atmosphere" and is particularly interested in working with and helping young people. He was directly involved in the organisation of a drop-in centre and would love to get more involved with groups such as the Scouts.

He is enjoying expanding on his former role as an Estate Ranger for the Council.

"I think a lot can be achieved and we are being allowed to get on and do it, which is great. I like engaging with different people and trying to enhance and make cleaner the environment in which they live, work and play."

Paul is a keen photographer who enjoys walking and socialising.
