Things you may wish to know...
Q: What if I wish to cancel?
A: You can cancel at any time. Text the word Cancel to
the same number.
Q: Can I re-register again after I have
cancelled?
A: Yes you can - just repeat the registration.
Q: Will anyone else be given my mobile
number?
A: No. The Council will keep your number confidential and
will not pass it on to a third party. We may however use the
number to send you information on other Council Services.
Q: How much will this cost me?
A: The ReText service is all part of Braintree District
Council's service to you. However please check with your
service provider for the cost of sending or receiving text
messages.
Q: How many messages will I get?
A: Your messages will coincide with national holiday periods
or special Council announcements. You will not be sent
messages you do not need!
Q: Why is this service only available to households who
have wheeled bins?
A: This is to help streamline the registration
process. Once we have completed the wheeled bin areas, we
will invite black sack collection properties to
join.
Q: What do I do if I move house or change my mobile
number?
A: Please let us know by text, so we can be sure you are
sent the correct message.
