Recycling just got easier!
From now on you can put all items for recycling into the same
recycling sacks.
Braintree District's Household Recycling and Composting
Performance 2007 - 2008
Our recycling rate for 2007 - 08 is an impressive 42.79%.
This year we need to achieve a higher recycling rate of at least
44.5%, so please remember to recycle as much as you can.
Little and often, not big and bulky
Please remember not to leave bags of textiles and shoes around
the textile banks at your Local Recycling Centres. As well as
looking unsightly it could also be considered as fly-tipping.
When using textile banks, please place items in a used carrier
bag so the bundle can fit into the opening chute.
2008 Roll Out

the Braintree Disrict, the Council is rolling-out wheeled bins to
even more parishes in the Distirct.

Bardfield Saling, Castle Hedingham, Fairstead, Faulkbourne,
Finchingfield, Great Bardfield, Great Saling, Great Yeldham,

Side Waste is being monitored!
All waste for collection must be contained within your green or
grey wheeled bin. Recycling Officers and Collection Crews
constantly monitor recycling and refuse that is put out by
residents.
Households with side waste will be contacted and advice
given. If neccessary visits will be arranged to resolve
on-going problems.
