1. The first question that we will ask is, "have your pets been treated by the vet for fleas. This needs to be done before one of our pest officers will visit. We require this as the cat or dog will be the source of the infestation and if untreated will continue to introduce fleas after the treatment.

2. The occupier will need to hoover the whole house before the visit of the pest officer. (This enhances the treatment).

3. The Whole house usually needs to be treated to completely irradicate the infestation.

4. We will advise that it is advisable to leave the house and take any pets with you for 2 hours after the treatment. (aquariums can be covered up).

5. After treatment you should hoover every day for at least 10 days after the treatment, again this will enhance the treatment.

6. The property must be occupied, as movement encourages fleas to become active and increases the exposure to the poison.
