Registration of Food Premises
By law all food premises must be registered with the
Environmental Services Department of Braintree District Council.
You must also inform us if the proprietor or the nature of the
business changes.
You can fill in the Registration Form online
Food Premises Registration Form print it for
signature and return it to us by post.

Food premises includes any premises used for storing, selling,
distributing or preparing food, including restaurants, hotels,
cafes, shops, supermarkets, staff canteens, kitchens in offices,
warehouses, guest houses, delivery vehicles, buffet cars on trains,
markets and other stalls, hot dog and ice cream vans etc.
In addition some high risk food businesses must be
approved or
licensed. This
includes dairies, meat processing plants and butchers' shops.
