Braintree District Council provides and manages four Cemeteries within the District. These are: -

Bocking Cemetery, Church Lane, Bocking, Braintree, Essex, CM7 5SH

Braintree Cemetery, London Road, Braintree, Essex, CM7 2AS

Halstead Cemetery, Colchester Road, Halstead, Essex, CO9 2DX

Witham Cemetery, Manor Road, Witham, Essex, CM8 2NH

We liaise with Funeral Directors on the arrangements for funerals in our Cemeteries and hold burial records dating as far back as the late 19th Century for these Cemeteries.

The cemeteries opening and closing times are; Braintree, Halstead and Witham, Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm or sunset, which ever comes first, and weekends 10am to 8pm or sunset, which ever comes first. Bocking cemetery does not close.
