Although Braintree DC is not directly responsible for the provision of education services to the district, it places high importance on the maintenance and development of educational resources and on making employment and training opportunities available to residents. In particular, the council has ambitions to rejuvenate towns and villages, and for providing more opportunities for young people - and education is key to delivery of these ambitions. This means working with partners like - Essex County Council, economic development organisations, local businesses and further education establishments to provide opportunities and demand for skilled residents from the district.
