CPA Comprehensive Performance Assessment *

WHAT IS CPA?
In 2002, the Government introduced Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) to access how well Councils perform. The objective of CPA is to help improve services delivered to all communities. The Audit Commission avaluates every Council's performance and make a judgement about the services provided and the ability to improve. This assessment is scored as excellent, good, fair, weak or poor.

A GOOD Council
Braintree District Council's CPA inspection took place in June 2004 and involved pulling together existing information on our performance and achievements based on evidence from ourselves, external partners and auditors.
