As a result of The Parliamentary Constituencies (England) order
2007 (SI 2007 No 1681) there has been a redistribution of
Parliamentary seats. This has resulted in the re defining of the
existing Braintree Constituency and the creation of a new
Parliamentary Constituency for Witham.
The Chief Executive Officer for the Braintree District Council,
Allan Reid, has been appointed as Acting Returning Officer for both
Constituencies and therefore has overall responsibility for the
conduct of the Elections for the 2 parliamentary constituencies for
Braintree and Witham.

Witham Constituency covers -
The District of Braintree - Black Notley and Terling,
Bradwell, Silver End and Rivenhall, Coggeshall and North Feering,
Hatfield Peverel, Kelvedon, Witham Chipping Hill and Central,
Witham North, Witham South, Witham West.
The Borough of Colchester - Birch and Winstree, Copford
and West Stanway, Marks Tey, Stanway, Tiptree.
