The parish of Great Notley is to the south west of Braintree.  This is a relatively new village with lots to offer.  Great Notley was the first development in the country to incorporate traffic calming measures throughout its road network and to introduce 20mph speed limits.

There is a 100 acre country park containing  lakes and  stunning views and lovely countryside walks which can be reached by an underpass from the middle of the village.
