Cressing

The parish of Cressing is just south east of Braintree and was the earliest British settlement of the Knights Templar.  Cressing is known today for its medieval barns nearby at Cressing Temple, said to be the two finest Templar barns in Europe.

According to the 2001 Census the parish of Cressing had a population of 1538.
