There are
12 cluster groups in the Braintree District and meetings
are held twice a year in the spring and autumn.
The ‘clusters’ are groups of parishes with common interests and
concerns and are a forum to share experiences and solutions.
Representatives from all three tiers of local government - parish,
district and county, Essex Police and Health Authority attend
to discuss local issues. Parishes are able to ask questions
directly to the appropriate representatives on agenda topics chosen
by them and action points are recorded in the meeting notes.
The Cluster groups may work together on projects e.g. the
acquisition and use of a speed indicator device, transport surveys.
They may agree to jointly lobby on issues of concern or share local
information.
The geographical areas for the 12 groups are shown on the
Parish Cluster Map.
The 2009 autumn/winter round of cluster meetings will begin
during September. If your parish is hosting a
