The inaugural meeting of the Braintree District Parish and Town
Clerks’ Network was held at the District Council’s offices at
Causeway House, Braintree, on 22nd February 2007.
This support network has been established for clerks to share
ideas, information and good practice in an informal
atmosphere. The
meeting was well attended and it was agreed to meet twice
yearly in February and September.
These network meetings have continued with good attendance,
throughout 2008.
There was an excellent turnout for the 12th February daytime
meeting which was hosted by Braintree District Museum
Services.
The Victorian classroom 'experience' was enjoyed by most and was
a time to forget about the stresses of the present day.
The next meeting will be held on Monday 14th
September - back to an evening for this
meeting.
