Constituency Work
I have lived in the Panfield ward, comprising of Panfield,
Shalford, Great Saling, and Bardfield Saling, for the last 15
years. I aim to be an accessible councillor and have worked with
both residents and the four parish councils on a range of local
issues including planning, anti-social behaviour and other
community based problems. I also liaise frequently with the County
and Parliamentary representatives.
Involvement with Organisations within Braintree District
and Elsewhere
As well as sitting on the Cultural Partnership Board, I also
represent the Council on the Local Government Arts Forum. I am a
Governor at Notley Green Primary School and a trustee of the Talent
Works Trust. I also present a radio programme for Hospital Radio
Braintree.
Training and Development Undertaken
I have attended a number of training sessions, including most
recently the Housing Options sessions.
Key Personal Highlights/Contributions During The Year
Along with Councillors Beavis and Lady Newton, I have recently
been appointed to the position of Lead Member. My specific role is
Lead Member for Management of Change, and I look forward to playing
a key part in the development of Braintree District
Council.
