Neighbourhood Action Panels (NAP) *

The Neighbourhood Action Panel (NAP) is a forum set up by the Essex Police to address issues and concerns raised by members of the local community.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, LET THE NAP RESOLVE IT!

If you are worried about issues in your area such as: criminal damage, anti-social behaviour, speeding cars or mopeds, noise or youth nuisance.  Then why not take the issue or problem along to your local area Neighbourhood Action Panel so you, the community members and the agencies can help find the solution/s TOGETHER.

Neighbourhood Action Panels (NAPs)are led and directly managed by Essex Police.  Each NAP may consist of representatives from the local community, residents associations, children and young people, voluntary agencies, schools and faith groups, Town and Parish Councillors and where applicable other statutory groups that are best placed to make a valuable contribution to the multi agency problem solving of issues that matter most to the communities living within the area.

Dates, times and venues of your nearest neighbourhood meeting can be found by visiting Essex Police website; please visit http://www.essex.police.uk/home.aspx

Upon entering the above webpage, simply enter your postcode to find out your neighbourhood information; this is shown to the right-hand side of the page, entitled - My Neighbourhood - enter the postcode and click GO.  This will navigate you to your local Neighbourhood Policing Team - click Events to find details of your nearest NAP or Neighbourhood Meeting.

Alternatively contact Essex Police on the 24 hour non-emergency number - 101.

Each NAP or as they are also known in some areas Neighbourhood Meeting determines the top three priorities for their area and these are then raised at the relevant area (Braintree, Witham or Halstead)  Police Community Safety Joint Action Group meeting (also known as JAG).  Raising the priorities at the JAG enables a wider audience of partner agencies to support and where necessary assist in the problem solving approach; thus seeking the best possible outcome.
