Change of name or address
If you change your name or address you must notify the Licensing
Authority as soon as reasonably practicable. The notice must be
accompanied by your Personal Licence or a statement with reasons as
to why the licence cannot be produced.
Attending court
If you are attending court charged with a relevant offence
before your first appearance (or next appearance if the licence is
granted later) you must produce your licence to the court or notify
them of it's existence.
Convictions
If you are convicted of a relevant offence the court can order
forfeiture of your licence or order its suspension for up to 6
months.
The court will notify the Licensing Authority of the conviction
or, following an appeal, the quashing of any conviction.
If the Court does not forward your licence to the Licensing
Authority you must do so yourself within 14 days so that it can be
endorsed.
If you are convicted of a relevant offence in a foreign
jurisdiction you must notify the Licensing Authority yourself of
the details, enclosing your licence or giving reasons why you
cannot.
Fees and payments
The fee to apply for or renew a personal licence is £37.00.
You will not have made a valid application until payment is
received by the council.
If you need a replacement licence following loss, theft etc. or
to notify the Licensing Authority of a change of name or address a
fee of £10.50 is payable.
