Notification of changes and convictions *
Change of name or address

If you change your name or address you must notify the Licensing Authority as soon as reasonably practicable. The notice must be accompanied by your Personal Licence or a statement with reasons as to why the licence cannot be produced.

Attending court

If you are attending court charged with a relevant offence before your first appearance (or next appearance if the licence is granted later) you must produce your licence to the court or notify them of it's existence.

Convictions

If you are convicted of a relevant offence the court can order forfeiture of your licence or order its suspension for up to 6 months.

The court will notify the Licensing Authority of the conviction or, following an appeal, the quashing of any conviction.

If the Court does not forward your licence to the Licensing Authority you must do so yourself within 14 days so that it can be endorsed.

If you are convicted of a relevant offence in a foreign jurisdiction you must notify the Licensing Authority yourself of the details, enclosing your licence or giving reasons why you cannot.

Fees and payments

The fee to apply for or renew a personal licence is £37.00.

You will not have made a valid application until payment is received by the council.

If you need a replacement licence following loss, theft etc. or to notify the Licensing Authority of a change of name or address a fee of £10.50 is payable.
