House to House Collections

*
Collection Tin
Charitable donations can also be collected door to door in the form of money or goods and to do this you would require a house to house collection permit.

How much does a permit cost?

Nothing, they are free.

Can I collect anywhere?

Yes. Any of the streets in the Braintree District can be collected from. Unlike Street collections however we do not restrict the number of charities collecting at any one time.

Does everybody need a permit?

No. Some larger charities have been issued with a Home Office Exemption certificate, which means that they do not have to apply to the local authority for a permit.
