Acupuncture *

Anyone who wishes to carry on the practice of Acupuncture must be registered with their local council unless they are a registered medical practitioner or dentist.

The purpose of registration is to ensure that basic health and safety standards are maintained in any premises where these activities are carried out. It is compulsory to register both the premises and the operator under the Local Government (Micellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.

Applicants will be required to pay a one-off registration fee, which covers the cost of administration and inspection of the premises on a periodic basis. These checks will ensure the necessary standards are being maintained.
