Braintree District Council opened a dedicated phone line for people to report any suspicions they may have about fraud, whether related to Housing or Council Tax Benefit or any other Council business. This may, for example, include instances where a person is claiming Benefit but has not declared income or that they are working.

The line can also be used for 'whistle-blowing', in the event of concern about the actions of a council employee or a Councillor.

Please contact us on 0800 7811355. State as much information as you can about the Fraudsters like their name, address, what they are doing and anything else you think we should know, to enable us with our enquiries it is preferable if you leave your contact details, you can stay anonymous if you so wish.
