Community Development is about creating changes for the good of
communities, lead by the community, to tackle the issues affecting
their area. These could be anything from:
- Problems faced by new residents in integrating into the
community
- Conflict between older and younger residents
- A lack of local services or facilities
- A lack of activities for young people or people with
children
Braintree District Council is keen to help both individuals and
groups of people tackle these issues by helping them to develop the
skills and knowledge needed to plan and undertake projects, and
achieve better quality of life and a greater sense of security for
everybody.
